J.R. Getches

Web Developer

I am a senior web developer. My work gives me the ability to advise business owners all over the world via Internet or personally in the area of my location.

My job is to help professionals achieve their tech goals whilst having adequate protection along the way. I do this by tailoring tech solutions to suit my clients’ individual needs.

J.R. was born to a military family during the Vietnam War, and lived all over globe. After graduating from the University of Virginia, he started his professional career as Director of Data Processing for RJK Corporation, Virginia’s largest private investment company. He then moved to New York City where he was hired as Senior Programmer/Analyst for Dow Jones, developing their Foreign Currency and Precious Metals Trading Systems.

J.R. accepted an offer in Los Angeles to be Director of Strategic Development for the publicly traded Recovery Network, then joined Tickets.com launch team, where he was the Senior Programmer. In 2004, J.R. moved back to the east coast to be closer to his family, and was hired as Webmaster for Motley Rice LLC, the world’s largest plaintiff’s law firm.

Since then, he has been an internet consultant for many regional companies including The Post & Courier, Charleston Mercury, People Matter, and Green Wizard. In 2018, J.R. invented an artificial intelligence software program which was accepted into the WordPress repository.

In his spare time, J.R. is a fine art photographer, accomplished musician, producer, and actor.

J.R. has been published in:
