Insect and Spider Photography

One thing in the natural world that we have in abundance in South Carolina is insects. Enormous "Palmetto" bugs, gnats, bees, butterflys, and a host of things I have never seen before seem ubiquitous. I am taking it as a challenge to get photos of these creatures to see them close up and try to find the beauty in their form. Wish me luck.

Spiders are fascinating. My very good friend, Allison Tysinger gave me a Mexican Red-Kneed Tarantula years ago as a birthday thought it beautiful. Here in the lowcountry I see spiders nearly as big but that spin webs six feet across. Everything about them is amazing to me.
